Sean Michael King, age 47, passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2023. He was born on April 9, 1976 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Mary Theresa (Hanifin) and the late John Robert "Bob" King. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Lori (Reifschneider), young children Deshaun, Chance, & Ella, and his mother, Mary. Sean grew up an Air Force brat and especially enjoyed his time living near Sembach AFB in Germany. He attended Will C. Wood High School in Vacaville, CA. He graduated from Sonoma State University with a degree in Political Science and he spent time during college working on various political campaigns. Sean then graduated from UC Davis School of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree. It was there he developed a passion for criminal trial work. Among his career highlights included working for the Yolo County District Attorney's Office and the CA Dept. of State Hospitals. Sean loved reading and playing with his children. They were the light of his life and he loved them immensely. Sean grew up with a large extended family and enjoyed events and holidays with them. He will be missed by many family members and friends. Family and friends can gather on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 1pm to 3pm at River Cities Funeral Chapel located at 910 Soule St. In West Sacramento. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately on the same day at 3pm. Catered dinner after the celebration. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sean and Lori's children's education fund by Venmo Lori-King-2 are appreciated.
